Professional Experience
As Chief Responsibility Officer, Tim Dismond oversees CBRE’s Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DE&I) and philanthropic efforts. He is accountable for some of the most highly visible projects, including CBRE’s annual corporate responsibility report, building a more diverse workforce, and creating a culture of inclusion and wellbeing.
Mr. Dismond was named CBRE’s first global Chief Diversity Officer in 2020, leading the company’s DE&I strategy. He was promoted to Chief Responsibility Officer in 2021 with expanded responsibilities for five pillars: DE&I, Environmental Sustainability, Workplace Safety and Wellbeing, Philanthropy, and Public Affairs.
In recognition of Mr. Dismond’s work to create more just and sustainable spaces, he has been distinguished as a DE&I Trailblazer by Business Insider and one of the Most Influential Black Executives in Corporate America by Savoy, the leading African American business and lifestyle magazine. Under his leadership, CBRE has garnered top sustainability and DE&I recognition, including: Barron’s 4th most sustainable company, World and North America Dow Jones Sustainability indices, Kiplinger 20 ESG company, Bisnow’s Rise Initiative DE&I Progress Leader for our Workforce Representation Program, Forbes’ list of top employers for women and diversity, Bloomberg Gender Equality Index, Human Rights Campaign Best Place to Work for LGBTQ Equality, and Disability Equality Index.
Earlier in his career, Mr. Dismond was President of CBRE’s Global Workplace Solutions (GWS) Enterprise business, responsible for delivering real estate and facility services to CBRE clients headquartered in the Southern U.S. and Latin America. His team of 5,200 managed over 820 million square feet spanning 63 countries and served retail, technology, health care and energy clients, generating $1.2 billion in annual revenues.
Mr. Dismond also worked as an Executive Managing Director for GWS, serving clients in the Central U.S. and Canada, and an Executive Account Leader for two of GWS’s largest clients in the financial and telecom sectors. In these roles, Mr. Dismond advised clients regarding capital projects, portfolio strategy and operational initiatives while establishing new benchmarks for client satisfaction, growth and workforce diversity.
Prior to joining CBRE, Mr. Dismond held several executive positions at Sprint, including Enterprise Operations where he reported directly to the Chairman and CEO. Mr. Dismond is a licensed real estate broker and an attorney who practiced law at a large law firm in Kansas City, MO, for several years. He has represented many Fortune 500 companies and developers in all aspects of real estate, including acquisitions, dispositions, land use planning and zoning, leasing, financing and corporate restructurings.
