Professional Experience
Mark Godfrey is the Head of Institutional Valuations, Americas as well as the Head of NYC/TriState for CBRE’s Valuation & Advisory Services group. He has over 25 years of real estate appraisal and advisory experience. In his role as Head of Institutional Valuations, Mr. Godfrey oversees the integrated and comprehensive service and delivery of appraisal and advisory assignments amongst CBRE’s top institutional and private equity clients. He is responsible for designing and implementing strategic valuation solutions custom tailored to the diverse needs of the individual clients he manages.
Mr. Godfrey has extensive experience providing real estate appraisals, advisory engagements, appraisal reviews, arbitration/litigation support and managing portfolio appraisal engagements. His appraisal experience encompasses a wide variety of property types including office buildings, retail condominiums, regional malls, shopping centers, apartment buildings, condominium complexes, mixed-use development projects, educational institutions and industrial facilities. He has extensive experience with multifamily residential developments and office studies, as well as complex portfolio and multi-property assignments.
Mr. Godfrey is a Designated Member of the Appraisal Institute (MAI), a Member of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS) and is a Certified General Appraiser in New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Pennsylvania and Massachusetts. He was consistently recognized as a top national producer within CBRE throughout his career and was named as Valuation Professional of the Year on multiple occasions.
Mr. Godfrey has served as an Officer of the Metropolitan New York Chapter of the Appraisal Institute since 2020, prior to that he was a Board Member since 2018. He serves on the Zoning Appeals Board for the Incorporated Village of Plandome in New York State.
