Professional Experience
Ed Thenell is a Senior Managing Director within CBRE’s Global Workplace Solutions (GWS) business with over 30 years of knowledge and experience in account management, business strategy, cost management and leading global teams.
As Global Alliance Director for the Amazon account, Ed is responsible for all facets of CBRE’s relationship with Amazon’s fulfillment center and office portfolio including facilities management (FM), reliability maintenance engineering (materials handling), project management, global lease administration, and commute solutions.
As a leader, Ed steers his team as they continuously adapt to meet the needs of a rapidly expanding business, bridges his client with CBRE thought leadership, and empowers the team to achieve innovative solutions on Amazon’s behalf.
Prior to leading the CBRE team at Amazon, Ed oversaw all GWS accounts in the Pacific Northwest region as Divisional Director. Ed’s 17-year career with CBRE has included many other leadership roles including Global Alliance Director for the Microsoft Integrator and FM accounts, as well as several project management director roles.
